1. Our services
KIZUNA provides one-to-one online Japanese lessons delivered by our teachers via Google Meet. Lessons are 50 minutes long and are customized to each student’s level and goals. We offer a free trial lesson, single lessons, and monthly lesson plans as described on our website. Lesson content, materials, and scheduling are arranged directly between you and your teacher.
2. Booking and trial lessons
You can request a free trial lesson or book paid lessons through our scheduling tool. When you book, please provide accurate information about yourself and your availability. We aim to reply to trial requests within 24 hours. A trial lesson is offered once per student and is intended to help you decide whether our lessons suit you.
3. Plans, payments, and pricing
Lesson prices and plan details are shown on our website and are quoted in euros (€). Monthly plans cover the number of lessons stated in the plan. Payment terms, methods, and timing will be confirmed with you before your paid lessons begin. We may update our prices from time to time; any change will not affect lessons you have already paid for.
Unless stated otherwise, monthly lessons are intended to be used within the applicable month and do not automatically carry over. Specific arrangements can be discussed with your teacher.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed lessons, may be treated as used. Full details are set out in our Cancellation Policy.
5. Student responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate booking and contact information;
- Join lessons on time and with a working internet connection and device;
- Keep your camera on during lessons, as this helps your teacher gauge your understanding and teach you effectively;
- Treat your teacher with courtesy and respect; and
- Use lesson materials for your own personal learning only.
6. Intellectual property
All lesson materials, texts, worksheets, and other content created by KIZUNA remain our intellectual property (or that of our teachers). You may use them for your personal study, but you may not copy, share, resell, or redistribute them, or record lessons, without our prior written consent.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services or website for any unlawful purpose, and not to disrupt lessons, harass our teachers or other students, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service to anyone who breaches these Terms.
8. Children and minors
We welcome children as students. Where a student is under the age of majority in their country, a parent or guardian must make the booking, agree to these Terms, and take responsibility for the child’s participation.
9. Disruptions and technical issues
Online lessons depend on internet and third-party platforms (such as Google Meet). If a lesson is significantly disrupted by a technical problem on our side, we will offer to reschedule or continue the lesson at another time. We are not responsible for problems caused by your own equipment or connection.
10. Limitation of liability
Our lessons are provided to support your Japanese learning. While we work hard to deliver quality lessons, we cannot guarantee specific results such as passing an examination. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KIZUNA is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [ your governing jurisdiction — e.g. Japan / Spain ], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.
